Notice, though, we are saying that our ecospaces are only the beginning. We believe that our ecoliving and ecoworking spaces will be the forum and the hub from which our digital nomad community will have a chance to change the world. We want to be the epicentre of the green revolution, where interested and like-minded entrepreneurs, innovators, thinkers, and organizations can come together and seed the ideas and plans to create sustainable living and industries.
We live in an age where various types of communities emerge as byproducts of the advancements in technology.
In particular, the emergence of digital nomads and startups have disrupted the world as individuals belonging to this group shift from the traditional 9to5 office logics to a more flexible and comfortable working environment. They are seeking out their passion and purpose. Tapping into their talents, connections, and entrepreneurial skills to produce and provide products that can change the way we live.
They are the heart of our digital nomad community - a group of individuals who do not only seek independence and new experiences, but also those who are committed to leaving their marks in this world.
We have seen an emerging trend where people brought together in ecoliving or ecoworking environment naturally gravitate toward collaboration on environmentally sound projects. One of our goals is to make our ECospaces the perfect venues where infinite opportunities for sustainable partnerships and collaborations can be realized.
We are fostering our Ecospaces as a learning platform about sustainable living that can be improved upon and replicated in many areas of the world. We want to attract and build an entrepreneurial community who will look at what we have created in our Ecospaces and work together to adapt those ideas to retail, commercial and residential spaces locally and in other areas.
We are also bringing together visionaries and collaborators who can work with local planning departments worldwide to allow for more sustainable living accommodations. We want to examine sustainable local construction materials, wastewater management practices and viable sources of energy and other alternative means to save energy.
We are big proponents of circular economy and sustainable living practices. If we use something once, we want to find a way to reuse, recycle or reconfigure it in some manner to end waste. And we are excited to see our network of caring and dedicated people – designers, architects, construction professionals, investors, entrepreneurs and the like - work together on sustainability projects through different layers. We want our ecospaces to be a hub for world change. A repository of information that other communities can draw upon as they move their areas to a more sustainable way of life. There are so many creative people out there who are working alone and we want to bring these people together, both in-person and virtually, to collaborate for a sustainable way of living on our fragile and endangered planet.
A vital element of our strategy is the interaction with local communities. As part of our "Glocal" approach, we aim to spread the global concepts of sustainability and circular economy to the local environment. We believe that many of the solutions to sustainability are simple and feasible. These solutions, though, force us to look outside of the box that has been confining us up until now.
For instance, many communities have cows nearby and other sources of organic waste. Such waste can be converted to energy in a biodigester - a simple and cost-effective solution to lessen waste build-up. Permaculture is another example of a smaller-scale system that allows for freshwater and food to be sustainably grown, eliminating waste and creating economic independence. Thus, ECo is committed to not only being a place where people can come and experience a sustainable and comfortable ecologically-viable coliving situation; we are also committed to creating, incubating and nurturing our digital nomad community and other conscious individuals to create partnerships and projects of sustainable living.
